Published research context (not product claims)
GHRP-6 is an early synthetic oligopeptide from 1980s secretagogue chemistry (Bowers and colleagues). It is used as a GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor) research ligand and has no sequence homology with ghrelin.
Papers compare GHRP-6 with GHRP-2 and hexarelin in receptor and endocrine-assay models. Some reports also note ghrelin-pathway readouts (including appetite-related endpoints in animals). Those findings are experimental. They are not product claims.
GHRPs are listed by WADA as prohibited in sport. That is an anti-doping classification, not a use instruction.
There is no UK marketing authorisation for GHRP-6 as a medicine.
