Published research context (not product claims)

Melanotan-1 is [Nle⁴, D-Phe⁷]-α-MSH, designed as a more stable α-MSH analogue for melanocortin-receptor research (especially MC1R in experimental pigmentation models). Academic and industry programmes later developed afamelanotide as a licensed medicine in defined indications. Those authorisations apply only to approved presentations supplied through regulated channels. They do not apply to this research vial.

UK and other regulators have warned about unlicensed melanotan sold for tanning or other human use. This page does not offer the material for that purpose.
